I believe the 2g FWD is the hardest DSM to change the fuel pump in. I guess 1g also sucks as equally.

Where do you get this 10 min crap? I'm sure mikey has done it before but he probably all ready had a drained tank and like 80% of the stuff taken apart.

AWD>FWD when doing fuel pumps!

2g FWD pump is under the seat and accessible from there. i have tried to remove my pump without undoing the hose on the bottom of the car,,, trust me undo that hose, its SOOO much easier!

10 min's,,,, if you know what ur doin and the seat is out and the car is lifted enough to get to the hose underneath, and ur workin SUPER fast, and all the bolts come undone easily, and u dont fumble around with any o-rings, etc etc etc,,,,,,,u get the point, lol

I could do a 1g AWD in about 10 min. But i have done it a dozen times or so. A 2g fwd i would think will take a little longer. I would still use vfaq and do it yourself. If you are going to own a DSM you should start learning how to work on one yourself. Especially little simple things like a fuel pump.

I bet it can be done in close to 10 minutes. Unbolt the rubber feed line from the undercarrage, then carefully unbolt the line at the top of the sender unit. Unscreww all the tiny nuts that hold the sender down and pop the new pump in. Reverse from there. No need for instructions really, it is self explainitory.

oh don't forget to run 0 guage wire directly from the battery to the new pump, you will need it.
