Which clutch to get
i recommend the ACT 2600..... , if your worried about stiffness go for the ACT 2100 then....neither are that stiff to where its annoting to drive, just gotta build up those calf muscles.

just get an ACT 2600 w/ a street/strip disc.
the 2600 feels like stock clutch now but grabs like a mofo. the street strip disc is very streetable and slippable.
ive been able to get the windsheild wipers to kick on shifting into 3rd gear before, but thats in the AWD... wheel hop in a FWD will kick on the wipers in 1st which doesnt accuratly translate the grabbing nature of the clutch.
an ACT2600 grabs rather suddenly sometimes and can make stop and go driving hard if you are a lazy driver and dont think about smoothly and slowly releasing the clutch... i have that problem when i get out of the supra and jump in the talon: the ride is very harsh and jumpy for the first few minutes. kinda hafta relearn to drive cuz each of our cars feels different.

ACT is a very good clutch when it comes to DSM's, i hear nothing but good things about ACT from the whole DSM crowd... it bugs me when people try to change the system and get a Centerforce Dual Sliption or Excedy or whathave you...
Its better to use what is proven, that way there is no doubts about whether or not itll work for You.

...it bugs you? because someone has a different clutch than you do? dude, it's a clutch.
I've been very happy w/ my 2500# from bay city. Not that the ACT is bad...I just know that I asked this same question on tampabay dsm, and a ton of people said go w/ bay city. Miguel is a DSM owner and builds these clutches (he makes some modification on the fulcrom...or something). Anyhow, his job is to know clutches and his hobby is to race dsms. it's proven...don't worry about that.
anyhow, get whatever you want. I don't care. I do have a burning desire to beat someone who's running an ACT clutch now.

without knowing anything about his car, how can you suggest a clutch too him? I ran faster than anyone in this thread on a 2100.
What if he has 500hp, a 2600 wouldn;t cut it then.
I say if you are mostly stock to about 300hp a 2100 would be just fine. from 300 to 450hp a 2600 would be good. More power than that and you will have to decide how to handle it. A 2600 or 2900lb PP with a copper ceramic puck disk is an option or a twin disk setup.
