ok heres the thing my girl has a 2000 RS Eclipse and her check engine light will not go off and the car seems to be fine and she took it to a shop and they said it wasnt throwing and codes is this a dummy light that just needs to be reset and if it is how do you reset it?

 

read the manual. it should tell you how you reset the code or you could unhook the battery.

 

unhook the battery for a good 10 mintues and everything should be clear.

 

its a mitsu check engine light means its running good hahaha
