nice...welcome to the dsm family.

How many miles?

There are lots of little free mods that you can do, I'm not sure what they are for 2g's You can always start with a fuel pump rewire.

Boost gauge. Stock one sucks.
Raise the boost to around 14psi with mbc
And do all of the maintenance!!! If you are over 50k and the timing belt has not been changed.... you might want to think about that. This will include tensioner, balance shaft belt, water pump, and timing belt.

i really appreaciate it man, i freaking lucked out like crazy, i got it from a lady who lived in north carolina and bought the car for the keys.... 4000 miles, yea, four thousand period...

i had one already but it was a ReallySlow (RS) and i would guess thats not even considered dsm, well barely. i had that car pretty tight w/ 15's and a ps2 and bolt on shit but it didnt go anywhere...

i mad excited about this car... i worked out this deal with this kid for a greddy type s bov... its my personal favorite, and plus im trading him all of this stuff that i really dont need so its cool. people are telling me if you dont run it back into the intake it doesnt idle right... others say it runs rich in between shifts i guess in idle again... i dunno man, sorry to make you read all this shit im just, to be honest... lost about this whole turbo thing...
thanks -chris

$4000 that rocks
the type S has 2 nipples on the back, i just hooked up the bottom one about 3 months ago(just had the top before)
it blows off much smoother now and i have it recirculating(sp?) and its just as loud as my friends that is open(which i dont like, i liked it better quiet). top nipped to the intake manifold, bottom nippled to a boost source between the turbo and throttle body
u can remove the boost controll solenoid for like 2 psi, but its easier to get a manual boost controller

good luck with the new car

so is the main valve or whatever open, im sorry bro, i think i follow, i know the one hooks to the vacume line into the intake manifold and do you mean you have it recirculating from the lower hose into the intake and not the outlet??? hopefully you get what im asking

on the back, there are 2 nipples,, the top nipple to the manifold, the bottom one to a boost/vac source between the turbo and the throttle body(i used the boost source that was going to my boost controller)
and yes, i have mine recirculating

You are not a contributing member to Mitsubishi tech, therefor you can not sell parts here, PM him if you have parts for sale.
