they cost more.

and by raising the base fuel pressure, you can turn 450's into 500's. These DSM injectors typically cost anywhere from $30-$100 depending on the condition.

Check these out:

These are out of my friends car, cuz hes gettin 660's to go w/ his FP Green.

and by using that resistor it will allow me to use the 450's, how does that work?

most injector drivers want to work with high impedence injectors ~12ohm-~14ohm

DSM's have low impedence injectors: ~3ohm-4ohm
Add the resistor pack: 10 ohm
Now, the injector driver will see a high impedence load of 13-14ohms.

Some cars had injectors that were high impedence by themselves and needed no resistor packs, like the Newer FC3S RX7's.

i dont know jerk about Neons or 420a's, but if the car originally CAME with high impedence injectors, you want to either BUY high impedence replacment injectors or Low impedence injectors AND Resistor/s to use in conjunction w/ them. that way, you wont change the impedence ratings and your car will be fine.

youll need some sort of electronic control. I think the 420A is a MAP based intake system. if tahts the case, itll flip out of the manifold pressure goes greater than atmospheric pressure or 0psi/0vaccum. So, youll need a voltage clamp to keep the MAP sensor from sending a signal to the ECU when boost occurs. then, youll need some sort of fuel control to add fuel as the boost comes on, cuz as far as the ECU knows, you are still NA and only adds what it THINKS is the right amount for fuel during 0psi/0vaccum, but thatll be too lean for any amount of boost.

but these are all assumptions based on the idea that the 420a is a MAP based intake system... and im pretty sure it is.

might want to check into whatever Hahn recommends for their turbo kits, and you could adapt the fuel managment to your own custom turbo setup for Neon's
