Pe1820?
The 1820 is an IHI housing with ball bearing internals, more aggressive trim specs and a larger exhaust housing than anything in the IHI line-up. I'm not sure they are "weak as fuck", as I've seen several cars plotting 400+whp with this turbo on built 2.0L H4s with no problems. It is popular with the Subaru crowd because it is a direct bolt-on turbo with integrated wastegate, so it's essentially a drop in item on our cars. Good for 11s, assuming the driveline is upgraded to allow for 6k RPM launches. Can't see why you would use this turbo on a Mitsu, but PE has a pretty good reputation and I have not heard of any of the 1820s being used by the folks on NASIOC.com breaking. YMMV.

No problemo.
I actually liked the 2G AWD Mitsu eclipses. They were a little heavy compared to some, but without the Lancer or STi (or WRX for that matter) on US shores, they were probably the best bang-for-buck AWD car for at the time. I agree that Mitsu has some awesome turbos, but my personal preference is for Garrett hardware...too bad they do not make anything that really fits my needs.
Most of their stuff is high power only. Garrett/TiaL combos are popping up all over the place on our cars. One guy in Tennessee had a Green equipped WRX putting 400whp+ down on a 2.0L block. Thing lagged to all hell though (did not hit peak boost until 4600RPM and peak power came at like ~6200RPM on his dyno plots). For Scoobs, IHI is a really nice, relatively affordable option. If I were running a Mitsu, I'd be going with an aggressively trimmed 16g, no question.
