Sean's karma was messing everything up...

everytime we get in the car, soemthing bad happens... ranging from hitting EVERY GODDAMN redlight, traffic violations to blowed up motors.

I don't think a spun bearing caused this. Besides what is left of the rod still spins freely.

looks like a gas station toilet! :o Sorry to hear about your motor. Breaking a conrod at its base has much suck. Good luck with the crank and remaining reciprocating assembly. How much boost were you running and how hard were you accelerating when the conrod failed??? Seeing things like this always makes me nervous.

i was riding shotgun in the car, and at the time of the failure, we were cruising steadily at 80-85, putting the motor at about 4k rpm, slightly less (chris trying to keep the loop closed), and it was about about 5 on the boost guage...except it was on the left side of the "0" ....14 psi had been run, but it was on a stock turbo, which that motor pretty much laughs at, considering all the supporting stuffs done...it was just a freak incident i guess, it happens
