I want to buy a little I mean little teeny tiny turbo, cause I am building a turbo go-cart, I dont even know if they make turbos small enough, I dont know do u?

 

yeah they make 'em.i knew some one in CT. that used to race go-carts and was talking about wanting to turbo his.
all i can say is search.....
he said its in some go-cart mag,if i remember right he said its like 1g+....
g/l that'll be a fun ass ride.

i was just remebering to my up north days tracktors and beating up on lawn mowers and such...and i remeber a friend of mine using a high volume 12v fan...that would be even better than using a turbo...put a car battery back there and run a realy high volume fan inside of an intake tube of some sort?

 

The battery would be too heavy it would defeat the purpose of the Fan. I know the Ford Probe GT had a very small turbo on it. It is a IHI RHB5 turbo.There is one sitting at a you pull it place in daytona beach. I was gonna take it off last weekend to have some fun with it but I didnt have the time. I should be going there this weekend. Let me know if you want me to pick it up and I will. I will sell it to you for the same price I pay for it.

dude..you could use a small lawn mower battery...weighs like 8 pounds at the most...and a high volume fan is gonna be better than any car turbo...all hes gonna do with the car turbo is burn his exhaust valves...if you dont belive me go to any small engine shop and ask them what happens when you put any kind of back presure on a little 5hp brigs motor...there gonna tell you its gonna burn the hell out of the exhaust valve..and its a stupid idea to put a turbo on it.well atleast its stupid to do if you cant buy a turbo small enugh for the aplication..the turbos people are talking about on here are designed for atleast 100hp aplications..its not like you can go slaping a turbo on anything..it takes alot of time and thought on how to turbo somthing.. im no turbo expert but i sure do know that its not gonna work....so ide go with the fan..honestly...look on ebay at those electric super charger things..basicly its like a hair dryer fan...thats about what i would use on a brigs...

 

The things they sell on ebay are over priced. I actually figured out they are Exhaust blowers from inboard boats. They are used to move gases out of the engine bay. I made one a few years ago. You buy a 3" blower for $20 bucks. Then find a High RPM 12V electric motor from a hobby shop. The ones used in fast RC cars will work fine. You can find 20k RPM Plus units. It will screw right in to the blower and then Glue the fan blades on (if you dont it will fly off and hurt you ::ont Ask!!! But yeah I had it happen:: There you go an electric "Turbo".
