Default Put in a new single turbo RX7

Pulled out the EBAY turbo and swapped in a Borg Warner S366 turbo...alot bigger than the one I had in there previously.

Ran into a few issues with plumming the oil inlet but got everything worked out thanks to carlos. We ended up making a atmospheric dump for the wastegate instead of running it back into the downpipe for ease of taking the turbo out incase we need to take it out again. Currently im running into a issue with closing my hood all the way due to the huge size of the turbo and the intercooler piping bieng about a inch to tall... Did a couple pulls at 17 Psi and ran great. Did a couple pulls at 15 PSI and blew my intercooler piping off the turbo, so Im going to need to add another 3' coupling to it to make sure it doesnt happen again. Here are some pictures. ENJOY.

Oh whats this? a 20b first gen in progress?..yup!

Turbo finally in, it was a pain in the ass to get back in....its leaning against the passengers side fender.

Great install and pics. I banged out part of the fender wall so my turbo would fit. I was going to ask for more pics of the first gen but then you commented on it

Keep up the great work!

20b has a HUGE borg warner turbo on it. Here are a few more pics.

Pporting a motor.

Looking back I should have banged it out a bit, didnt even think of it, we had already been working on it for a while, it took alot of fabbing to get that in there. Im still going to need to shorten my oil inlet line and move my fuel pressure regulator away from the turbo due to the ammount of heat the new turbo creates.

this is sweet! I just recently put an S366 on my eclipse GSX. I bought a pricey manifold just to make sure everything fit with ease. Do you have the .91 divided turbine housing? Would you want to trade for the open .88?

Mine is the .91 with the divided turbine housing yes, Not looking to trade though, I just spent 770$ on this turbo haha. Its a great turbo that pulls amazing.

Yeah, that project is on hold though and wont be finished anytime soon unfortunatly due to a PCS move by the owner of it.

Im now working on moving the FPR along with all oil lines to the drivers side and redoing that oil line going to the inlet, after that im going to work on fixing up the engine bay to make it look more presentable.

This turbo actually spools up faster than the old Turbonetics t66 that was on there, I would have lag all the way until 4500 (wtf i know!) and then hit boost. With this turbo it starts whistling at around 3k and Im in boost by 3500. Its a great turbo. The place i bought mine from just dropped the price to 650.........http://miketurboinc.com/products.php?product=S300SX3-%252dS366-

Y
ou will also have to buy the flange and the flange adapter, also a oil restricter and the 2 bolts that you put next to the oil inlet, for some reason the turbo didnt come with them, but we had another borg warner around so we pulled it from those.
