I never said they were restricted to using a rotary engine that was in a previous car, a 20b would be just great in there..

 

can't tell if that's a really good chop or not. only reason i think it is, is because most oem's don't release cars with that type of hood vent, it would be more evo-like or something, they don't sell street cars with such "open" vents.

it looks like an rx-8 up front with a mutated front bumper, and a very audi R8/370z rear end. doesn't look bad though.

if they could somehow build off the FD body style and update that, it would be so hot. FD is probably one of the sexiest body designs I've ever seen.

 

Fd = pure sex. The design is timeless. Now everyone wants to make bigger cars with bigger fenders and flashy looks and just make them look like boxes, I really hate how cars look now.

 

NO RX-Vehicle will have a cyl engine in it. An MX series car will but not the RX series.. CX versions also have cyl engines. Look at you mentioning a 4 cyl turbo. Let me know the next time Ford attempts to stick a 4cyl engine in a sports car or muscle car here in the states. For that matter let me know the next time chevy attempts this in a muscle or sports car over here. That would be interesting.... hmmm a 4cyl awd Turbo Vette. Would make a nice ricer car right there.

 

You must not understand mazda terminology for naming cars. As it could never be called a RX without a rotary in it.

RX = rotary experiment
CX = crossover experiment
MX = Mazda experiment

Sorry to get so pissed off but I hate hearing people mentioning " Oh just stick a 4 cyl turbo in it and it will make it better " It aggravates the shit out of me.

I saw the very obvious Aston rear quarter window, rear fender, and hood vents, then looked in the windshield and noticed they didn't even bother removing the DB9 logo from the seats. Quick Google brings us to the original:

i know mazda's terminology. but why put a underpowered rotary engine in a big heavy car? it didn't work well for the rx8. that was the biggest downfall to that car. Now don't get me wrong i love rotaries(work on them everyday) but there's no point in putting a 130hp engine in a car that weighs 3500+lbs. The only way it'd be worth it is if it was turbocharged, but that's highly unlikely due to epa and emissons standards becoming more and more strict.

I do however need to post a thread for this sick 8.5:1cr turbocharged renesis rx8 were building for a customer. should be well over 400whp when its done.

Edit: Pretty awesome find on that Aston car. It was a pretty good photo shop then. It actually doesn't look that bad as a Mazda car.
