i like the renesis personally, i dont see why so many people hate on them. they have more BHP N/A than the 13B rew twin turbo. id say theyre doing pretty well with power for a 1.3L N/A...

and yeah, you can turbo it and do all sorts of shit, but why? these cars are so much fun to drive factory.

 

they're hated on because they're pretty much peaked, hp wise, & because of the heavy vehicle, the rx8, that they're in

 

Whats really funny is at that all the rx8s you see in professional racing (le mans, etc..) are all running 20bs or older 13bs. No one is running the renesis.

 

Regardless if the renesis outputs more hp non turbo, it doesn't put out more even if it was turbo'd.

You have so many options to go with that are a hell of a lot better.

You have the stock 20B-REW that was in the cosmo producing 300hp factory stock.

13B-MSP Renesis only hits around 280hp

13B-REW has around 280hp in there 95-02 motor. This just proves that the renesis isn't better. I rather go with the 13B-REW over the Renesis version.

13B-DEI from the 80's hit 200hp in the S5 version. <-- Id rather modify this motor then the Renesis
