my boy has a 2004 mazda protege turbo and he just threw a rod... ima honda guy so i dont know everything about it but he is looking for a whole new motor or at least a good block if you got one please hit me up. peace

 

I have a 2.5l v6 motor FS is you wanna swap in in the pro.

 

hope you have fun looking for a 2004 Protege....especially since production ceased on those in 2003.....

just incase you or him don't know....you can get any FS-DE engine to use....doesn't have to be from a Mazdaspeed Protege...the engine can be from any 02-03 Protege......the only difference in the car is the Mazdaspeed came with turbo parts and a different ecu....but the engines are the same pieces of crap in all of them


also....if he didn't blow a hole in the block or anything...he would actually be better off buying new rods and pistons and forging the current engine he has...


that way he doens't have to worry about blowing the next motor...since the internals on the FS-DE engines suck donkey nuts
