looking to buy one within the next few weeks. any special things I should look for on the car (other than things like a blueprinted engine)? I've heard of people doing a bunch of little tricks like bending the a arms to get more negative camber.

If anyone has any knowledge on these cars it would be much appreciated.

 

GRM had an issue about this I think back in June.

One of the tricks I remember was to run at least 1qt down from full in the oil pan - I kid you not.

There is a great post somewhere there that addresses what to look for when buying a spec miata.

What I thought was interesting about it was the discussion about how competitive a used spec miata could be. So if I recall it kinda came down to pay a lot of money for a competitive spec miata, or if you buy one without knowing it is really competitive your taking a gamble since you can't know if the car is competitive because the driver may not have been competitive.
