problem with fd stalling out..
I have a friend that has a fd rx7 and the car has an issue with it stalling out.. it seems too happen when ever the clutch is pressed in while turning the steering wheel too the left or right. sometimes it will stall out sitting in traffic. it will only stall with the clutch depressed. Any ideas? Also he just change his rotors and pads out with brembo rotors cross drilled and slotted and now it seems when ever the car is being turned left there is a rapid cluncking sound comming from the right passenger front of the car.. I just figured it was the rotors digging into the pads and just need to get worn in.. what are your guy's input on it.. thanks

The stalling sounds like it could be related to a bad BAC (at least that's what its called on FC's) it adjusts the idle when additional loads are placed on the engine : lights, a/c, P/S etc. Not sure how the clutch would factor in in that scenario though.

Yeah this is typical of FD's when the throttle control gets loose and there is a simple fix. I think it's called the throttle positioning screw or TPS or something like that. I totally forget what it's all called but I had to do it to my car once because it would stall out too after I got my a/c fixed. I don't have my car right now but it's a little screw by the throttle control that you have to turn witn a flat head screw driver slightly to raise the idle a little bit. Remember if the car is stock it should idle at approx. 750 rpms with no accessories on.
great thanks again.. yeah its completly stock with just a cat back and thats it.. ill check the idle tomorrow but it seems too idle just fine wright around in that area.. mmm cant remember ill check it rep points for you!

sounds like maybe the clutch switch is bad. there are 2 on 93+ one for starting circuit one for ecu idle control. the air adjustment screw under the intake elbow may need to be adjusted also? what is the idle at? the rubbing noise sounds like something is hanging loose on the passenger side
I have the same problem with my FD. It's pretty modded but that isn't the issue. From what I hear, it's the TPS or Throttle Position Sensor. It can cause a bunch of different symptoms including bogged down acceleration, lack of power, stalling and because of the fuel issue involved, even constant backfire. I haven't fixed it yet but what I read tells me that adjusting it, cleaning it, or replacing (being the worst thing) is really all you are looking at.
