Default 88 t2 idle problem

im currently driving my brother's ae88 rx7 to smooth out a few(very few) things that are wrong with it. one thing is the idle. a few years ago he installed an HKS BOV and ever since then the idle is lopey on cold start. yet as soon as it warms up just a lil bit the idle smoothes out. once it smoothes out it idles great @ 750rpms and never skips a beat.
I first "knew" it was the BAC valve, yet i cleaned it out ,re installed, and adjusted and still same thing.
i checked for vacuum leaks and found nothing. of course in the back of my mind i know its the bov but there are no adjustments on the bov as it is a stock bov off of a SR20 motor. then also i thought about the TPS maybe needing to be calibrated yet the vacuum leak/TPS theories do not add up seeing that the idle smoothes out....so what im asking is jus a lil input as to what u guys think i can do.

thanks
jack
