wow! How rare are these cars? I've never seen one with so much work done to it before.

 

they're pretty rare as far as i can tell, atleast in japan. i've had some serious trouble tracking down parts, most of those pics are from jdm luce's that were imported to australia. and all that stuff is stock for those cars except for the woodgrain wheel and boost gauge in that one picture.

 

same chassis as the '87-'91 mazda 929 just minus the rotary and most of those options and a lot of the exterior. they came with either the dohc 3.0 v6 i have, the 2.0 sohc turbo v6, or the 13bt which is an s5 with s4 wiring.
