13b in a miata???
hey guys I was thinking about dropping a 13b into a miata...but i do not know alot about mazda let alone rotarys..so I was wondering if anyone had done one if it would be a cool swap or if there were any troubles or should I just do a sr20 swap (one of my least favorite engines) but I will if you guys dont think it is worth the hassle of treying to do a 13b swap into the miata..the miata is a 1991 and all help is greatly appretiated
This is going to be my next project. Mazsport.net has the entire subframe and new oil pan available for sale. It has been done before. This gives you a great opportunity to learn about the rotary engine. Buy an engine, rebuild it and learn how simple the process is. Have fun!

the swap is quite common actually and there are many step by step online illustrations for the swap available. the sr20det swap is not so common but ZFEVER in tampa had one and it was sick.but IMO not worth the $$
honestly you should order a JSPEC turbo front clip and save yourself some $ and time. boosted miata's are very very peppy and if your looking for straight line throw a small wet shot in there on top of it.

People I have talked to about this installed a 12a front cover since the mounts are on the front, and then pretty much used a straight bar to bolt in the engine. I have never done it myself though. You would be able to call it an "MX-7"
