rotary is a ticking time bomb. Hehe j/k. I have a 94 fd and its a great car in some aspects and a horribe car in others. Just go under google and type wankle engine info and you will get a great deal of pages of the motor and alot of pages have the history from birth of the motor and current. Good luck on getting a rx7. DO NOT go out and expect to fine a rx7 especially one that is a 93-95 that is going to be a good deal. Expect in the next year or two dumping loads of cash in that sucker. Maybe you wont but if you find one that has a original motor more than likely you will be rebuiling it. If you find one that claims already to be rebuilt than its going to be expensive to purchase. Again please spend HOURS online doing research and learning what kind of beast this is. Buy the way my name is leo and my 94 rx7 rocks a ls1. My rotary took a shit on me with only 48,000 miles and local shops around here wanted between 4500-7500 in repair-rebuild costs. NOT!!!!!!!!

Tpnorth made a good point. Everyone is going to tell you to do alot of research. Btw what reason do you want a 3rd gen rx7 93-95? Maybe we can help you out if you give us a better understandind on why you picked this car. Some people get it for racing, some for styling and some just because they are true rotary enthusiasits.

Default Sure

money my friend can put anything into that car. I have seen in person a 2jz a.k.a 4th gen supra motor as well as a rb26 which is a skyline motor. The ls1 requires no cutting and will be the best bang for the buck

swap wise you can pretty much put whatever you want depends on what kind of work you wanna do as for rotary motors they are great motors if you take care of it but as soon as you let it go it bites you in the ass and craps out lol but just do tons of research before you do anything make sure that its what you really want and what your gonna do with it ahead of time

If you wanna swap something get a 240.

If you wanna learn more about the rotary go here:
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm

Then here:
http://www.rx7uknet.dircon.co.uk/history.html
and here:
http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/why.htm

Then, after you get some history under your belt, go here:
http://www.rx7club.com

paying special attention to the archives and FAQ's

If, after doing some research you decide to delve into the world of the rotary, and have a prospective vehicle in mind, the following site will help you weed out the good ones from the bad:
