It also happened to my friend ...... Check the mazda flex disc or the mazda brake disc. ... It's really embaracing. It comes from the driver side rear wheel area ... It happens randomly, sometimes when he make a right turn, you can hear it. When he drive off it comes... It goes tick....tick..tick.tick.tick.tick (as he accelerate) ... Ok so just as he thought, his rear flex disc. He had it on the jack, gassed it up a bit and had his brother hit the break, it made the noise. The flex disc was missing a bolt ... how the hell that happened, he don't know.. it was worn out...

Replaced it (took 10 minutes) and the car drives like a dream! No sounds, no shakes, rattles, vibrations, nothing. He's so relieved.

Check it!!! Goodluck!!!

no no its not that...^......like ive told you before man its HLA'S!!!!!! do some research its completely normal for a KL to be ticking from the valuve covers. Ive had 2 KLDE and 4 K8 motors and a KLZE a yes after 60,000 miles or so they all thick ......theres only one other thing in your engine bay that could be ticking and that would be your timing belt tensioner, which means its time for a new one. try seafoam it might do the trick but no promises. GL and remember the ticking is A-OKAY! dont worry......
