If you swap out the Intake you can hear the factory BOV.....

It sound's like a Turkey/Flutter

The car will run like shit If, you swap out to a VTA BOV like the HKS BOV without relocating the MAF to the cold pipe unless, you run a dual BPV/BOV setup.

First mod's that I would suggest would be:

Injen Intake
Corksport Full Exhaust
MBC or EBC @10psi
Colder NGK BKR7E-11 Plugs/what ever plugs you like.
DSMConvert/Split Second AFC
2001 Mazda 626 Intake Manifold w/ProtegeGarage EGR Tube
AWR MotorMount's or Another brand of MM
Boost Gauge
Upgraded Intercooler SMIC/FMIC

With those Mod's you would prolly be looking at 200+/-whp. just remember when you mod this car tha,t it get's expensive real quick.....

Good Luck!

That's the thing that alot of people, don't understand about these motor's they make almost as much if not more torque then HP....

I'm not talking Diesel style torque or anything but they do pretty well on TQ...

I can bet that, with those few mod's he would be very happy with his car.Given he doesn't blow anything up by upping the boost to crazy(Above 10psi) or launching super hard core and breaking the Diff. another weak point for these car's....Wheel hop >MSP's

The BEST mod for his car will be learning as much as possible about, the car BEFORE he mod's ANYTHING!

With that said after owning this car for 4 year's I'm still running on a stock Block&Tranny and,I still love this car!I have no regreat's about buying it at all...I wasn't looking for the fastest shit out there I was looking for some thing that was almost the whole package Looks/handling/Braking/A Little Power very nice Daily Driver.... Almost Perfect in my eyes....

Rep given thanks for all the info. It's been 2 days with the car so far and I'm already learning a lot.

So I think I will just swap out the intake for the injen intake and see how it sounds. I love that sound lol.
