whats the most a rotary will turn without letting loose? i know quite a few V-8's that will turn 24,000+ rpm.

RPMS don't mean she-ot if your motor isn't built for 'em (thats for all motors in general). Why Rev out a 13b to 11K when it stopped making power 3K before (unless you have a BP) But a rotary can just sit there and sit there burying the needle, I've seen videos where people sit there for 10 minutes with it floor'd in Neutral and then let the water out of the RAD and then it blows.

!!!!!!FULL BridgePort Turbo super 10.5K rpms supa Powa happy time !!!!!!

Nowadays rotaries don't even really rev high in comparison to a lot of other engines. I mean stock Hondas go to 8500. Back in the day I guess they were considered to rev high. As far as the 24,000+ rpm thing goes, I'm sure if the same kind of engineering and technology went into a rotary that goes into those formula one motors they could rev just as high. Most people don't take into consideration that there aren't really any aftermarket internals for rotaries either. So the fact that a rotary can make about 1000hp with all stock internals except for some apex seals and some dowelling is pretty damn impressive.

but you also have to consider that 1000hp is done at a relatively low torque level. and what i mean is that the torque available when the engine makes the 1000hp is low, the motor could still peak much higher torque, but at a lower hp level.

and for GTFO guy..(guessing it means get the fuck out?) grow up. engines are engines.
