Well like the title says im thinking about getting this 1988 rx7. now I don't know a lot about rx7's so what should i look for when it comes to buying one. and what problems could it give me in the future?

from what ive been told its the 2dr hatch with the 13b the car runs fine except the fact it wont rev past 4k rpm(which they said they would fix) interrior is said to be clean and the outside is said to be fairly clean.

Another thing , a lot of people who i have talked to are telling me dont get one their nothing but problems is this true? ( mind you that is comeing from people who have never owned one) but anyway like i said its an 88 and they only want 500 bux for it they just want it gone. im gunna go look at it hopefully this weekend ..do you all think it would be a good buy for a daily driver? or does it sound like another shistey car deal

great cars, but not good to have if u dont kno how to work on them.. plus they demand alot of attension.. like constently checking ur oil.. and if u cant work on it urself there arent alot of shops who do work on them. but they are very fun to drive!!

It's a simple fix, the secondairy injectors on that car are not working properly. Remove the injectors (the ones that are visible from the top of the motor) and get them cleaned. That should fix your problems. The injectors I'm talking about turn on at 3800rpms, if they are not working the motor will not have enough fuel to pump past 4000rpms. The non-turbo rx7's are great, reliable cars. Some people say they are unreliable but like all cars if they are not given routine maintanance they will break down.
