Default Slave Cylinder Woes Mazda/Ford

I'm replacing the slave cylinder(inside the tranny) on a 95 Ford F150(mazda has identical part) with a 5 spd standard tranny and the line from the master won't lock into the receiver on the slave...anyone ever have this problem? lmk what i need to do...i don't wanna drop the tranny again if i don't have to.

yep...fyi all the replacement parts are compatible with each other...including the part you get from ford...none of which are compatible with the original parts...in other words you have to replace the slave master and line as a set to make it work...
