Yeah but they flopped the idea. They had the 4rotor corvette, they flopped the idea because of the upcoming gas chrisis I believe. An REW engine would be awesome in a C4, or even a 944.

no, it wouldnt. but it woudl piss everyone off and be funny

and mars302, i know this. original idea of the vette was to put a rotary in it. thank God they didnt go thru with it, the only reason i want to do it is to anger people. much like my flat black ls1 skyline id like to build with torque thrusts and aluminum nascar spoiler and other redneck style items to completely ruin a skyline.

i think a riced out rotary c5 would be the hottest shit ever, and would hopefully piss off 90% of corvette owners

but that requires money so well see how that goes...aka never

I think you are the first person to say the Corvette was orginally designed to be a rotary car. I could be wrong, but ive read a lot of write ups but was never mentioned in any of them. Only time I read was the early 70s and they said it was fast.
