i need help
YO i just got in the rotary family this week i got a 87 gxl but I dont want to keep it n/a so I was wondering what woulod be a good swap for turbo should i just get a tII 13b from my series and swap it in or i was thinking about gettin a cosmo 13b re i think iono please help and what would i need 2 do the swap thx ppl i would greatly apreciate it
depends how much you got to invest in it. a complete swap for a 13bt is going to run from 1.5-3k when done correctly. a 13b-re or rew is going to run double that.
and please do it right the 1st time. start reading about it on

Id say a swap would be more than what he posted.Just cause im picky and wouldnt put in a used engine into a car when I can mess with it while its out.
Think about all of the other "bolt on" upgrades you can do to it also..

If this is your first time with a rotary vehicle, try not to go too crazy. the rotary can be very awesome, but it can also screw you over if you don't know the principles. it's a "Bratty" engine and the car is almost 20 years old, so make sure you take the time to learn about all its idiosyncrasies.
thx for the help well i have about 4k right now because i just sold my dsm lol finally but yea ive been reading alot lately and yea i dont want nothing to extreme i just want to do a swap and some minor mods to it nothing crazy like i said i was also thinking of the fd 13b but i hear its a real brat so i guess im just gonna stick to 13bre rebuild it so im sure nothing bad its gonna happen and try do everything iht the first time oh by the way sorry f my grammar i know it not the best

Most people don't know that the cosmo 13b re requires rebuild, porting, and different rotor housings (or the exhaust sleeves swapped with tII or fd ones) to make anything worth while. So it would be much more economical to go with the 13bt in my opinion, and you can still get some serious power out of it.
