you can have 12psi at redline in both, but at 3500 the supercharger will only be making 6psi where as the turbo will already be at 12psi making a lot more torque.

torque*RPM = HP

I'm keeping my stock, already put the rollcage, 5-points, and Kirkey seat in it, and I'm taking it to the track as often as I can afford. Road racing/autocross kickass in this car. It doesn't need an ounce more power to be fun.

Boost the stock BP....you can easily get 300whp out of it.

The compression ratio is too high on the 2002 to run enough boost to support 300 rwhp. IIRC, they tend to go pop(!) over 250 rwhp. I don't think anyone is running 300 rwhp on a stock BP, or if they are, they won't be for long!

Hmm....dunno how much differnt the year/engine combo is on a miata. BUT the 1st gen proteges also came with the BP's and the compression was 9:1...so we make about 280 on them all day..
