Default where to rebuild a 13b?

So again, I just lost compression on one of the rotors, eventhough I didnt put that many miles on the engine which has 2mm atkins (about 8k miles). Are there any good shops (that wont cost an arm and leg) that you guys recommend around the Tampa area. I need to find why one of the rotors lost compression (I think its oil related) By the way, its an FD with a street port.

those atkins seals are garbage... i had 3mm and everything else, done by atkins rotary in washington... had low compression within 1k miles... 5gs well spent id like to help you by buying your car for 5k

but seriously, all i have to say is... in the rotary world, you better give that arm and a leg kiss goodbye if you dont learn to do it yourself... i could have retired rich if i would of just put all my money in a ROTH IRA instead of buying that 7... but it was worth it... good luck and sorry to hear that...

I didnt necesserly mean that i want something cheap. At the same time im not looking for someone overpriced. I would LOVE to get my car done at Mazsport, because I know that it will be done the right way, its just too expensive for me now.

i guess your'e right... just because mine and his where crap doesnt mean everyone elses were... i've heard good thing from the seals but i actually sent my motor to them and i've herd lots of horror stories from atkins... like putting used parts on motors and lots of low comp motors out of the shop... so i'll give you that one... 3mm seals have been holding up good in other cars...

what ever happen to those rotary aviation seals???? have you hurd anything good from them?

I know people that are running 45 psi on the atkins and they are holding!!! They are cracking the front and rear heads but not breaking the seals. (indio racing) (carlos gonzalas oke) and they both run 7"s in the quater and are putting down over 700 on the dyno.
