Autozone funny
I know yall rotards can relate to this. So i go in to autozone to buy some oil well i get done putting the oil in the car and what not and i go to start it. well the cars flooded. Im thinking no big deal i just unflood it. So i yank out the injector fuse and go on about my business. About this time in the process one of the autozone employees is leaving and getting in his car. Well as yall know after a car starts from being flooded it smokes to high hell. He rolls down his window and yells at me i need to change my rings. my response was my rings? and he said yes my piston rings. I said i dont have pistons. After about a minute of a blank stare he goes out yeah you got a rotary. After my quiet chuckle i drive off.
NOW what bothers me about all this is he works at a autoparts store. Shouldnt he know a little bit about cars? Why would a autostore hire people with very little knowledge about cars? Its like asking a baker to give you a oil change. It doesnt make sense.

Parts people are not there to diagnose your problems.
That what mechanics are for.
I worked in many shops,and 2 dealerships over a 8-9 yr period.
I can say I have only found a few parts people who actually knew about cars.
The good parts people can cross refrence parts and might be able to give you better alternatives (better parts) than what the manufacture requires.
I had a guy who worked at Z Docs, think my 84 RX7 was a old Datsun 240,with small block in it.When I opend the hood to show him what it was,The look he gave me was priceless
then he asked me what the hell was that
