ive seen miatas with 13b 13bt engines and a common swap is sr20det engine in it, but since thats a nissan engine you gotta do some serious wiring shit.
ive i had the knowledge and the money id like to do a 13bt swap in a miata.

turbo the stock motor, its a good strong motor, im almost positive its iron block closed deck. im sure it would love boost

If you want SUPER power that's somewhat affordable to swap and maintain go with a 5.0 Ford conversion. That's scary power in a Miata.
Or look into the coldside Ubercharger at Flyin' Miata, it seems to be the rage these days.
