the stock motor can handle a good ammount of power... i belive its a cast iron block. i belive its closed deck as well... correct me if im wrong

You're not kidding - I've heard of people making craaazy power off the little 1.6L - isnt it the same block as the BP turbo motor from the 323GTX?

nope, bore spacing is completely different. Its a B6 motor, the BP's weren't put in until 94+

He's right I have a 1.8L out of a 97 in the car now. LOL

listen to Fritchard -Slo13, you can really get that Miata going with a turbo. It will be a lot easier to install.
