FC's
Yeah im looking into getting a FC soon and just wanted to ask what model FC and year i should go with. I will mainly be using it for drifting but also want to pull deacent power. Thanks
If your wanting to go N/A then (I personally)
Would start of with a S4 GXL..
Why?
4 piston calipers in the front.
OEM LSD
power windows (cause im lazy like that)
You are going to have some people tell you to start off with a SE (base model)But then you would have to do the 5 lug swap,LSD etc etc.. but it will be a little lighter.

i'm gonna have to agree S4 gxl is prob your best get, even though if you buy an se you can use corolla nd 240 rims. and an fc for drifting? i hope you don't think it's gonna be like 240 drifting.

Why would he think that? The cars are diffrent. The FC has like 49.8/50.2 weight. Thats stock of course. Adding anything else to the car will change that. I dunno if thats with or without a average size driver.
I got a S4 SE FC and i love it. But i am getting a LSD swap. I wouldnt recommend turbo, they tend to break alot more then N/A models. and IMO some are way over priced.

I have a S5, the only problem is the oil metering pump if it gets wet then it will cause trouble. Mine is getting wet again, but I found the problem and will fix it soon. S5s have better fuel systems. If you get a S5 put a splash guard under the car so that the oil metering pump does not get wet.

^a Turbo FC is the ONLY way to go in my book. STOCK 6ports are just way too slow. You can get them up to 200hp but you HAVE TO break it down and port it. And a TII is the dam near cheapest, fasted, best handling car you could ever build (besides a KP61
. sr20's cost $1600 just for an engine, i can get 2 13bt's and 2 TII trannys for $1300, shipping on the other hand adds alittle more.
