Default Replacing fuel injectors

How hard is it to do it. My car has been flooding recently, it has stalled on me twice right after start up today. Im thinking it might be a leaky injector, how hard are they to replace? whats the price range im looking at for a replacement injector

its as hard as taking of your uim. 6 bolts i think. remeber always to depressurize your fuel sytem before working on it. or you will have fuel all over the place. are you sure your injectors are leaking. the cheapest and best thing to do is just send out your injectors to be rebuilt. http://www.injector.com/ is a great place to do it.

I would do a compression test before you check the injectors. No sense in taking it apart and putting it back together if your compression is less than 80.

Well,I have heard of some desil shop, that cleans injectors. But you really need to check compression first..

I never got the info on that shop locally, and they wont do what RC E will do.You are tring to fix a problem,so do it right.

thats why i was going to replace them, even if they get cleaned that doesnt mean they will still work. I havnt flooded since yesterday, i did have a weird start up. It reved really high when i had it in gear (i usually park in 1st and pull brake) sincemy drive way is at a slope. but put it in neutral and it went back to 1500(cold start) and i put it back in gera and it went to 3k i gave it gas and it droped down to 1500 again.

Other then taht ive had no problems today, it sat at my work for 9 hours.

What do you mean,if you have them cleaned, you dont know if they will still work.

Do you know whats involved in bench flow testing?
They clean, and run multiple test on the injectors.
Id rather do it for $50. an injector, than to pay close to a $100. each new.Unless I was going to go with a diffrent size.

But this is what I would do...

Nope i didnt know that i thought they just put them in this machine that shot something through the liquid they were sitting in and cleaned them. I guess it would be cheaper...

When i said i dunno if they still worked, i ment i dunno if having them clean will fix the problem, and if it didnt then id be loss for the money spent on cleaning them as opposted to just buying new ones straight out.

Is there a benefit to having bigger ones? HP gain or anything?
