I get to the gas station on my way home from the bridge and my choke isnt working, ok no big deal,(with mine you hear a HUGE hissing sound when its on.) i work it back and forth a coupe of times, still not working, now its a big deal, this car is hard as hell to start without the choke pulled out, so i get home 3ish, i check the shit and relize that it must have snapped near the hand lever where you pull it, so i rip apart my dash, literally i accidently broke a piece off, and get the little choke box out, and sure enough it was snapped, so i drilled a hole in a piece of the choke puller thing and ran the wire threw that than did a quick little shitty ass weld on it that wont hold. Anyways, it was a shitty end to a fun night, and now its 5:19 in the morning and tommrow I have to peice back the freaking dash and install that choke line again, and not to mention i have to be in work in less than 5 hours, god damnit.

Also I took pictured of the huge ass mess that I made, im to tired to post them now but I will post them later when I get home from work.


Also I ripped out some wires that I cant find what thye go back to, the spot freaking disappered, so tony i took a pic of them and im goign to put it on here, i know youve done alot of electrical work..

 

damn. how did it break? it worked earlyer at sonic, when you choked it while it was running & made that hissing noise... sorry man hope it works out

 

who needs a choke?
Every time I run other carbs than stock,I dont use the choke.Just pump the gas a few times,and start it.

Not in my first gen, and my car neeeds the Choke or else it will just idle down to nothing and die like a little pussy, Im reinstalling it toinight hopefully it will run, ill get some pics up later of the louvers and the shit

 

I dont know if you know about carbs,the choke only works with cold starts.It has nothing to do when the engine is warmed and been running.

Ok, I dont think you understand. First of all, MY CAR Needs the choke ON when I am starting it, I also pump the gas and that is fine, Ok now listen carefully and maybe you will understand, IF I DONT HAVE THE CHOKE PULLED OUT MY CAR WILL DIE WHEN STARTING UP. IF I DONT HAVE THE CHOKE PULLED OUT MY CAR WILL DIE WHEN STARTING UP. IF I DONT HAVE THE CHOKE PULLED OUT MY CAR WILL DIE WHEN STARTING UP. IF I DONT HAVE THE CHOKE PULLED OUT MY CAR WILL DIE WHEN STARTING UP. Also I dont know if you know that I have a manual choke? I will give you my FB if you can start it without the choke and have it idle fine. I sat in my car for 10 minutes giving feeding it gas and keeping it about 1k and if i took my foot off the gas...the car died. Luckily I fixed it just now, It was a fucking bitch taking that shit apart.

tony, how about me and you do a little "match". lets see how good that new setup of yours is. you did pull hard on first and second gear, but lets see how it fairs up with your new carb. lol. thinking about it just makes my panties wet.
looking forward to the thanksgiving weekend, hopefully the master cylinder can be installed quickly.

I dont use the choke..

The car will die when tring to start it with no choke,mine does too sometimes..I have been running rotarys with no chokes for the last 5? yrs.I pump mine in the morning,start it and keep the gas pressed for a higher RPM (to compensate for no choke) let it warm and drive off........same thing a "choke" does.


keep in mind in my old set up,I couldnt get deep into the redline with out studdering in higher RPM's.. problem I have now is traction..

Well looks like you will be installing a master cyl yourself,and it seems like you keep forgetting you have 2 bad tires,and one is seperated.


Carbs are not all the same,thats like saying all fuel injected are the same..
