Where can I get a helmet LOCALLY for auto-x?

 

Use somebody's motorcycle helmet?
Wal mart?

 

Any motor cycle shop will have one. Hell if there helments can surive a direct hit with pavement im sure the helment will be fine with a ton of steel around it hitting the ground before it does.

I checked with a motorcycle shop on Fletcher and N. Blvd. Their helmets are DOT and Snell certified so yes they will work. Jegs have a but load of choices and to buy online, I will not be able to fit it personally. I'm going to check with the racing shop you recommended on Bears and N. Florida Rotary 7.

The Batman mask is not Snell 90 certified

Just bought an HJC open-face helmet for $90 @ Automotive Engineering on 56th! Going to pick up goggles at a motorcycle shop.

 

You need some CHIPS sunglasses,and you wont use the helm/glasses for daily driving

Nah, I'm using the batman mask for daily driving
