okay well i opened the top on my 1990 rx7 vert and it decided to stop working after that. so the top is stuck in the open/down position. how do i test to see if it is the switch or the motor or maybe something else? i know nothing about vert tops so please hook me up with some knowledge.
i have a s4 shop manual but not a s5 and i think the switch locations are different as the "check terminals" are too.
please help guys

You could check the switch with a volt meter.

 

Dam its been a while since I drove a vert..

Is it stuck all the way down or in the half stage,where you could take the targa off?

I know there was something that had to be done for it to work properly..
Key on,E brake on?

well it is stuck all the way down.. car has to be in neutral either brake depressed or ebrake up i forgot but this shit is pissing me off n e one got some papers from a s5 manual i only got the s4 and its a bit different

 

the nawz bottles must be wedged up in it

 

I THINK THE SCOOT HOOD WE TIGHTENED down on it may be the culprit

 

how did you make out on selling that?
