I still do not own a Mazda, but I am thinking about buy a Mazda MX3, but I am hesitating because I dont know any swaps for it, and I deffinitly want to swap because I always do... So any and all information on goods swaps, good reasons to own a mazda, and anything else you might think is useful to me. please post. I would appreciate it.

Well if you're going to be a new Mazda owner, DON'T buy an MX3. What are you going to use the car for? The MX3 doesn't have a good chassis, and it's front wheel drive. For the money you can buy an NA 2nd gen RX-7 and swap a TII engine in there, since you like to swap engines so much. Or buy a Miata and there are endless parts for that car out there to make fast etc...

This guy knows what he's talkin about, I would do either that or get an a 1st gen since they might be cheaper to come buy. It also depends on what kindve racing you want to do. I like 2 and 3rd gens but 1st gens are very light and from what I hear fun to race.

DUDE, the new mazda 3 wagon (super hawt pimp wagons) are about to come out with a 270hp, 280ftlbs turbo 4 mated to an awd tranny model. They are going to be some nice cars, I emaild mazda corp about how they should throw the Renesis into the mazda 3's but I got no answer "Stupid kid, doesn't he know FWD owns all" :-/

What do you mean by "race"..

Street/Drag strip?
I would have to go with a first gen.. WHY?
It can fit any swap your pockets can handle.. n/a or turbo.. and the car is very light.. its a unibody. You can still go full chassis/half chassis or 3/4 chassis with no problem..

Best thing of all,You can go with a narrowed Ford 9in rear end, which you cant do on a FC,unless you do chassis work..

If you want a fun/fast good lookin street car..
I would go with a FC,second gen RX7..
My Turboed 7 handled very good, with just a front sway bar.The LSD hd no problems..

Theres so many after market parts for the FC,it isnt funny.. and most parts are reasonable.. If you want to go Turbo on a FC,JDM engine and parts are the way to go.. very cheap, comepared to what some dip shits here in junk yards charge..

If you want to start of with a n/a shell for a turbo..
Get an S4,GXL.. and I tell this to alot of people..
S4 GXL comes with LSD,but you will be better off with a TII rear end.. so when your ready to swap, you can still get cash for the GXL rear.. open diffs wont get you shit.

The GXL comes with 4 piston calipers in the front.. the best OEM brakes for the FC (4 piston calipers)
The rear are the same as all FC brakes, including 4 lug..

Dont get the base modle SE.. they are a waste of cash, and most people who buy thier first FC,makes this mistake and buy one of them,OVERLY priced..

ALL the FC's besides the GTUS (4.36? ring gear/viscous lsd) come with a 4.10 ring gear.

The FC has a very nice independant suspension set up,and can be tweeked out very good..

If you have the cash,by pass all the first options, and get a FD.. only down side is mods are expensive.. and not to many people in the bay area to take it to if you want a highly modded/ported out engine..

Let me add on the Miata,
One of the best cars on the market, that you can drive off the show room, and can run on a corse.. auto x,or track..

Very tight and handles nice..
If you buy an older one,you can swap a rotary engine in it,or boost the 1.8 engine

Those engines are BEASTS under boost. They're based on the turbo block for the 323GTX so they've already got oil sprayers and shit
