Unhappy fuel gauge not working in my FC

I have a 1991 na with a 302ford in it. I removed the factory pump and put in a 255lph pump. The gauge worked previous to this swap, and now it doesnt. I am wondering if I missed a ground, or something. Anyone out there can give me adivce, I would be happy to hear from you.

1)Did you unplug the fuel sending unit?Makesure its plugged back in,left side by strut tower..

2)Check the ground and power on the unit, pull it out of the tank and check it,check it with a test light to see if your getting power to the back,or you can check at that plug I was telling you in 1

3)also theres something about not enough power to get to the back to run some 255,theres a write up on rx7club.com for it..

3)it has a Ford 302 in it,what do you expect..

actually....I had the rod for the sending unit pinched and i just unbolted the pump assembly, and freed it up. Its working perfect now. The 302 is a perfect motor for that chassis. The rotary motor is a cool concept, but a terrible power producer. Thanks for your input.
