Yeah thats always a good idea. Might want to check into bigger radiators too. These engines love to stay nice and cool.

Well, If it doesnt have a boost gauge in it by now, you may want to start with that and maybe a new coolant temp gauge too because the ones from factory arnt that reliable. Boost controller/ elec fan like buddha said. Get a better radiator, better vacuum hoses and better piping, get a Y pipe maybe a better downpipe and catback. A colder thermostat. Bov's, Intake, ecu upgrades, relocate the batt, better spark pluggies. Some one told me that the Air Separator Tank blows on you when you drive hard so Id upgrade that too. Youll eventurally find a bunch of things to do to make your car alot better and more reliable. Just keep searching and asking. Everyone that has told me they want to keep their car as oem as possible ususally end up not be able to help it and start doing things to their car. Good luck
