Exclamation FC question

well after a pusaltion dampner fire in my s4 i finally managed to have the cars wiring and ecu done and the car runs and yes i did get that pusaltion dampner issue dealt with...but what I would like to know is if does anyone out there either have an issue with aftermarket steering wheels on the s4 or if theres some type of issue that after the car has been turned and idles for about 15 secs and it did exist before the fire there seems to be some type of beeping sound and it isnt the one from the oil or the coolant but just some other type of annoying beeping sound...let me know what yall can come up with

yeah could be the power steering if you have the variable resistance power steering system. i know from experience that it also has an annoying loud beep sound when it is not working properly. you can disconnect it or bypass it and the beeping will go away, but then your power steering will be on one setting which is somewhere in the middle, but its not that bad. or you can further investigate the problem and fix it the right way.

yeah theres a sensor that doesnt respond well to the ps steering system for the rx7's. When the steering wheel is changed and it misaligned it will cause the sensor to go crazy like and send off a beep. id say bypass it. not that big of a deal to me. Also the soldering points for the cpu is prob bad on your car. This is becuase of old age and shitty solder points. id suggest going to the rx7club.com and doing a search for cpu fixes.

This is the most common cause of the horns not working, that or the tard who sold you the car probably didnt bother hooking it back up. time to rip it apart
