Default Question about my sunroof on the 626.

Small question. I know there is the guy on Hillsborough Ave that works on Mazda's...he ripped me off once before, but I might go back for help.

Small problem. I have a 2000 Mazda 626 and my sunroof is off track. Would it be cheaper for me to bring it to a dealership? That guy on Hillsborough Ave? Where should I bring it?

Thank God it came off track w/ the sunroof CLOSED, but I'd still like it fixed. It's the kind that slides all the way back, and pops up.

So where should I bring it?

If it's anything like the sunroof on the FC it's going to be a pain in the butt until you weld it shut

Tony (Rotary7) and I were playing w/ it in a parking lot today after we washed my car. He broke 2 pieces off of it...I can now get it to go up and down/back and forward, but it sounds like a rock is stuck somewhere in it. I'm scared to let it go back b/c I don't want it to get stuck.

Looks like off to the dealership I go.

Not to be a prick but doesn't your car have 130k on it- I wouldn't throw the money into fixing it- I just trade it in- just my opinion

Yes my car has 130K on it. Trading it in isn't very economical when I don't owe anything on it...and the getting the sunroof fixed is only $80.00

Let see...new car payment=$18,000, paying for the next 5 years
sun roof getting fixed = $80, one time charge

you tell me which is more economical. There was a rock stuck in the track, that's all.

I don't consider your comment "being a prick" I just don't think it's very logical.

Small things are going to start happening w. a car with 130K on it...as long as the maintinance doesn't get TOO expensive, I'll keep the car. It isn't a bad looking car.
