I wouldnt worry about shoving a big motor in it, your gona need a shoe horn to just get u in and out. Also when people say big they dont mean tall

put a flyin miata turbo kit on it. The bp loves the boost and your car will haul ass, like 12 second car there buddy. Perfect weight distribution on miatas, so i would leave the stock motor in, or if you are rich you can always spend 10k on the toda racing miata bp and run 10's!! and thats without a turbo........

If you think it is nimble now, take it to Dan at Cars and Concepts and get an alignment. Then put some falken azenis on it. That would be a good start.
