I have seen data on a new RX8 with a stock port stock RX8 engine with a added turbo pushing 14.7 psi and intercooler added.

The numbers given was 256 WHP and 325 WTQ @ 7800 rpm.


Well below what peak HP numbers would be? or maybe less? Maybe for insurance costs?

 

So it made 2 completelly different WHP's at the same RPM ?

Also manufactors dont quote WHP they quote Flywheel or BHP . Nothing has been released to the American public on a Turbo RX8 and any numbers from JP are going to be quoted in PS ...

Yeah I know 14.7 is 1 bar, its also known as 1 atmoshere.

 

Is not Turbo is Supercharged, it looks awesome, I have a magazine called "Speed" with the Mazdaspeed RX8. I think is a concept, but it could come out. They also have a Mazdaspeed Mazda 6, which is AWD with turbo inline 4.

 

this option is not offered by Mazda, and its Turbo right now...and only allowed in Japan for now.

 

mazda speed is rumored to be working on a sc. greddy has a turbo kit that will push i think 5 psi. pettit has two sc kits i can't recall the specs on them right now.

Nick Nasty, could you check the hp and tq numbers for me. i would expect more hp although plausable, but over 300 ft of tq seem a tad to high for the amount of hp. i would love that much tq out of my renesis though! i will look up the gretty and pettit kits and see what numbers they claim for anyone who is interested.
