You can build rotary engines on 10 gal buckets,
engine stand and adaptor plate = waste of money

but you cant spin a motor on a 10gal. bucket. Know taking one apart is definatly easier on top of a bucket but the satnd makes it alot easier to put back together.

Im curiuos on why,you would need to spin the engine, you need the plates horizontal, and you start from the front plate to the rear/then flip the engine for the oil pump/front cover acessories, which the easiest way I founf doing is with an engine hoist,

Even if you dont have that 2 people is all needed to lift a short block.

I had an engine stand, but didnt want to spend $60. for the plate from mazdatrix. So I sold the stand,it just wasnt worth it to me for the couple time uses, the 10 gal works good..

But it might make it easier for someone else,so good luck..

post a pic,I will see if someone needs it

10 gal. bucket = ghetto, with the stand, you can flip the engine over without the hoist, and you can put all the accessories on the engine and then put the engine in the car as a whole. that is why professionals use engine stands, and $60? come on, its more then worth it with all the back ache you will save.

There isnt much "accesories" on a 12A.Thats all aftermarket..

Mine can be stripped down to a short block in 10 mins or under,And what do you consider "professional"?You will be suprised who uses buckets,or wooden crates with wheels on the to hold engines, cars that are running 5s in the 1/8.Only time I use the hoist for the engine is when I need to flip it to put on the front cover/and its internal acessories, which then goes into the car,
But every one has thier ways of doing things,I have no complaints on mine..
