i have an extra bp, but it doesnt run. Your best bet for bpt's would be ebay or look on the protege, escort gt, 323, mx-3 forums. What are you swappin it into? Cophers has a complete bp there. Dont buy from magic used auto parts, trust me. Peace

haha, yea i swapped a bp in my mx-3 too. Yea the bp i have has improper clearances i think when i replaced the rod bearings. I'm gonna open it up and see whats wrong. The one at cophers i wouldnt recommend, if the odometer is right then its not worth it. If you need help on the swap let me know, shit gets confusing and i've swapped more than one bp so i know alot about the swap first hand. Let me know if you wanna go bp searchin or if you're interested in mine. We should meet up sometime, not too many mx-3's around. []Deace

hahahahaha I have both a first gen RX-7 SP and a 92 MX-3 but I don't think I would ever drop a rotary in it even with my spare rotaries in the garage. which cophers has the BP? I went to the one off of i think 50th and I saw one FB and a couple FCs but the FCs had no engines and the FB seemed to be stock port. BTW every ported rotary i have come across doesn't have the same mileage as the odometer shows seeing as you couldn't by a stock BP or SP motor from factory. Also depending on the mileage on the odometer most ported engines wouldn't last that long anyway without another rebuild so i'm sure the motor has a lot less mileage on it.

the bp were talkin about is from a first generation protege. Its the bp-ze (1.8L dohc), the non turbo version of the bp-t (bp-zet) that came in 323 gtx and gtr's overseas. Sorry if you got confused, you cant swap a rotary in an mx-3, just not worth it. Take it easy. []Deace

I only want to swap the motor cuz mine keeps givin me problems so if i do buy a new engine i might as well buy one that has more power..right? I found this wire hangin down on the ground from this bundle of wires and i dont know where the hell it goes. Its 2 green wires with a clip on the end and then the clip it connects to has 2 wires coming out of it, a black one and a red/yellow one then they bundle into a whole bunh of wires that are covered up by a peice of plastic. Those wires might be the reason my car always ran like shit. If anyone has absolutely any idea what these wires are please let me know. You can call me at 928-7937 at anytime. Im desperate here. Ive been looking for hours and i cant find where they go. If you can find me a bp for a good price and in good condition let me know and we can swap it in. just call me up on my cell. and we'll talk

yea i'll give u a call sometime tomorrow, you can swing the car by and see what we can do, i know the harness almost by heart, so we'll figure it out. If your gonna do the swap you gotta plan it out real well man, trust me. The bp swap is a bad ass swap, i'm almost finished with swappin in my new bp, should be done this week hopefully. You'll have to test drive it and see how you like it. I'll hit you up later. Peace
