Default Protege or Protege5 owners......

I'm still running on the stocker Dunlops with about 37k on them and my Protege5 has always been awful in the rain. Even moderate acceleration from a stop = wheelspin, almost any throttle around a turn in the wet = wheelspin.

If i TRY it will spin into 4th gear accelerating from a stop.

I'm sure most of this is caused by the bottom-end torquey nature of these 2.0's, but was wondering what tires protege/protege5 owners have switched to with better wet performance?

I've been thinking about a set of Kuhmo 712's.......

I put Yokohama AVS ES100 on my Rotas and have been satisfied. They are still fairly new so I don't know how bad they will get when I put a little more wear into them, but seem good so far.
