Default Mazda MX-3

I just bought an MX-3 as a "Point A to Point B Car". Ever since I got the damn thing its given me nothing but trouble. The first day I drove it I got a $90 ticket for an "unsafe start". The car has A/C but it only works when it wants to. And I work at Waters Car Spa so I washed it and the blowers that dry the car off ripped the sunroof right off the car and shattered it into a bagillion peices. I went to the Mazda dealer for a new sunroof but now I find out that someone who owned the car before me out it in themselves, so does anyone have any suggestions?Should I sell the car or fix the stuff thats wrong with it?And the brakes work like shit too.

the ticket is...your fault.

check how much a replacement sunroof is, if necessary, check a junk yard. surely they have aftermarket sunroofs on cars too. The dealer would be a horrible place for it, just on price alone.

brakes- probably gonna be a do-it-yourself to be cheapest.

A/C...well, no suggestion there except possibly check to see if it needs topped off.

I hand wash my cars. car washes are for lazy people. I guess if I worked at one, I'd run them through though, so I can't much blame you.

I'm assuming this was a glass sunroof, correct? Um, I know you work there but if that happened to a regular customers car you guy's would have to replace it. I'd look into them replacing it first off using their liability insurance. If not find another aftermarket one or just ditch the car. Its only worth a few hundred prolly anyways.

chill man, the mx is tight. Work on it, dont puss out......if you want a problem free car then go spend 20k on a new one, and even then you can still have problems, everything has a problem and a solution. Your problems are simple, glass sunroof is no problem to replace because i have seen a gs in salvage yards and you'll pay like 10 bucks for the glass. Your brakes are still oem most likely, than its time to replace it, you can upgrade which isnt too bad or you can just replace oem ones and do the work yourself, no biggy. If you are an enthusiast you might wanna start thinkin about a swap. The ticket is your fault and the no a/c is killer but you can cop one from me if i dont sell me extra compressor or from a salvage yard and bolt it in and freeon it as long as it has charge. Keep the mx, you dont see too many around, but if you dont wanna put any work into a 10 YEAR OLD car, i'm sure it wont run as well as you want. And if you need help workin on the car i'd be more than happy to help you man.[]Deace

I dont know what the problem is with the a/c because sometimes it will work and sometimes it wont and now i can hear the left cv joint clicking so now i gotta buy that too but the car overall is good but i didnt think about swappin it or nuthin like that before i bought i only thought about i dont have to ride my bike to work, but even if i thought about doin a swap what could i swap into it, and at higher rpm's the car starts to burn oil but i dont know from where. And when the car is runnin and i put me ear next to the airbox i can hear like a low thumping noise at first i thought it was a rod nockin but this thump is isnt consistant with a nockin rod it is. Also when im drivin i hear like this friction somewhere but i dont know from where. If you got any more suggestions or answers email me at OldSchoolDRFTR@msn.com

The carwash cant pay for it because it is an aftermarket installed item and they wont pay for anything unless its from factory

People put after market parts on cars all the time and if a car wash is responsible for the damage then after market or stock they have to fix it.

Someone fed you a big mouthful of horseshit. This is not a factory warranty. This is a company that provides a service and while providing it damaged your property. That is the reason they have to have insurance. Just tell them your lawyer will contact them and you should be good to go.
