how much better is the electric fan over the clutch fan. and how hard is it to install?

 

easy, very easy! a few zip ties and a switch install and you are done.

fiero gt fan works good for the longer rads.

I wouldnt run a clutch fan since I have experienced the elec fan!

 

E-Fan = good parstic loss gain .

I have a Ford 5.0 Fan on mine though I've been told its actually a V6 fan .

It helps alot to have a nice shroud .

 

Good for the feiro or the escort fan... its a good do it yourself mod... i did mine, i had more problems getting the old fan off....then putting the new one in..

 

how much hp and torque does the clutch fan eat up

 

a few horses maybe . Parsitic losses same as like putting a lightweight flywheel or underdrive pulleys on .

2-3 at most I would guess .

 

like dan said... ur only freeing up some drag so basicly it's not seat of your pants hp mod. but it sure frees up space on the engine bay

 

Dont foget no ghey mechanical fan sound . thats the worst
