Default Does anyone have an oil baffle plate?

If you have an oil baffle plate for a 12A I would like to borrow it to make a copy of it.. or if you can get a template made on paper and get in touch with me,I can make it out of galvanized gauged to the same thickness sheet metal.

This is something I want to try..

Any one who has one, probably has it on and is not taking it off?

I have always had the same idea!

Couldn't you fab one out of cardboard first then make it outnof sheet metal and tack weld it on? I have one here and its opened up , but its for a 13b and homemade, but works fine. Try what you really want and make it.

Do you really think its going to pull that hard @ WOT, that the pan will ruin dry, or are you going AutoXing>?

It makes the bubbles get out of the oil so your oil pressure wont drop as much when running at higher rpms for longer periods of time.

Rotary7: you could probably use the 13b baffle plate, to make the main holes, then line it up to the bottom of your 12a to mark the bolt holes and oil pick up hole. actually the bolt holes would be easier to mark from the gasket after you mark a few from the engine to make sure it all lines up right.

The postion of the holes on the bottom where the oil would go through is what im worried about.

Yea, but the 13b is only slightly longer than the 12a. The 13b oil return holes shouldnt be that far off. The only real close tolerance should be, the oil pick up and obviously bolt holes. As long as there is enough holes for the oil to get back down to the pan fast enough, in the basic same area as the original, and it lines up with the pick up and bolt holes. Bam, bam DONE DEAL! Not a big deal, I wouldnt think, just time consuming considering how many pan bolts there are.
