Default How many build

I was just curious to see how many people do there own work on there rotary.. Friend of mine just moved back and i just got my hands on a 1st gen and we are goin to start to build my motor.. I havent done one in a while.. the last time we made one to rome the streets we beat almost anythin on the streets with just motor.. my only loss was to a old guy in a blue s10 with a big motor and slicks i was with him at his bumper but it was still a loss.. but once i build this project i look forward to meeting u guys.. i will be postin pics as i go along with the project.. If you have pics of yours post them..

Almost everyone with a 1st gen works on their own stuff! If you dont work on it, you buy a 2nd or 3rd gen, because you got money then! Sounds like a good plan to me. Dont forget the Direct Fire Ignition ! ! ! It is a must on first gens!

12a street port, Holley 600, RB Headers, MSD 6A, Direct Fire Ignition, LSD rear end and RB sway bars.

Nice engine bay pic. Im planing on making 2 maybe 3 motors one 12a street maybe turbo nitrous, and a 13b that i definatly know is goin to be turbo nitrous. i might try to do a half chasi.. im still debating on wat to do with the rear..does anybody use webbers i plan on usin 51mm.. what tranny is everyone usin and what clutch im goin with a 4 puc act and a turbo 2 tranny..

One guy in our club runs a weber on a 13B stock 6 port, it runs mid 11s in the quarter.

I think he is running the 46 mm weber, but its a dual stack design.

We found that larger carbs are not as good a power producer as a smaller ones, the velocity of the air has alot to do with making more power.

I once did a second gen street port with a 48 webber it ran real hard.. but i was breakin to many trannies and motor mounts and i ended up puttin a turbo 2 rear.. but i sold it to some guyin fort myers.. but 2nd gen to heavy.. thats y im using a first gen... what color is that mazda... i had a full race mazda i use to take it to lakeland i got known for hittin the walls lol but it was fun lol...

I build up my own I have an 85 12A streetport. I also have a few spare 12As that i mess with 1 other street port and two stock port 12As if you need any parts let me know I have so many extras.
