mazdaspeed tech ?'s
I just picked up my new 2003.5 yellow speed. It is great but i want a little bit more. I am looking to add a new BOV and t-timer. Does anyone know what warranties apply and whether or not i can touch anything without voiding everything. 50,000 mile bumper to bumper is gonna be a tough one to give up.
welcome.you should check out, www.msprotege.com you will find all the information that you want to know on there. about your question here is some thing that got off the SEMA website about warrantie information but, Mazda will still give you a very hard time about, modification's.(Federal law sets forth requirements for warranties and contains a number of provisions to prevent vehicle manufacturers, dealers and others from unjustly denying warranty coverage. With regard to aftermarket parts, the spirit of the law is that warranty coverage cannot be denied simply because such parts are present on the vehicle, or have been used. The warranty coverage can be denied only if the aftermarket part caused the malfunction or damage for which warranty coverage is sought. Disputes in this area usually boil down to arguments over facts and technical opinions, rather than arguments over interpretations of the law.)
if you want to meet up with some of us local Mazdaspeed owner's let me or MSP chris know.

Thanks, yea some friends of mine and I are looking to do hose first two mods of turbo timer and a BOV soon. Any ideas or opinions on best performing? and yea that would be good to meet up.....just let me know when and where. Thanks again
well a BOV will not net you any HP gain's and their just a pain in the ass with this car they will give you alot of stalling problem's .it will just give you that whistle(sp)sound but, the first mods that i think you should spend money on should be the,Injen intake that will make your stock BPV much louder and, give you some HP gains.and a FULL turbo back exhaust but they cost alot of $$.you can get alot of diffrent thing that will actually give you some more power. i.e-down pipe/hard pipe kit/FMIC/boost controller.just don't go turning up the boost with out the proper breathing modification first.but a turbo timer is a very good choice.
you should read up alot more on these car's before you just go throwing mod's at it.
about the meet's go here http://msprotege.com/vbb230/showthre...threadid=45408

Let the engine break in first..Please.
I just got 40,000 on my J spec cams and they just now are starting to lose the maching grooves.
You may also find your ecu will change twice once @ 12,000 miles and again in 30,000. Mine did...
